Death metal goes beyond music. It’s the expression of [in]humanity’s darkest side, devastation, sorrow. Could it all end just as another fucking trend? It won’t. That’s the only message HOUR OF PENANCE want to give with their sickening, mind-devastating, brutally conceived music. Hailing from the immortal city of Rome ( Italy ), Hour of Penance is a 5 piece Brutal Death Metal Band in the vein of most of the American Gods such Nile, Hate Eternal, Gorgasm and other band that plays death metal at the speedlight! Formed back in 1999 Hour of Penance started as a black-death cover band. The sound made by all those incredible bands from Florida (that we all know, huh?)… it was what H.O.P. was trying to imitate. The band began to write songs, mixing the sound of different influences from Europe and USA. But the real epiphany came out when Cannibal Corpse released in October 1999 their "Bloodthirst " album (don’t you think that is a killing album?!? You moron!!!). Just one year later H.O.P. release their first demo, which was recorded in only two days at the Outer Sound Studios (by Giuseppe Orlando of Novembre). The mini-CD is 20 minutes long, and includes the first song H.O.P. ever wrote, that gave the name to the band. It immediately make H.O.P. themselves known in Rome (a few time later also in Italy, after some positive reviews by ’zines and webzines), the band has some shows in the city, playing with other metal combos. H.O.P. enter Outer Sound Studios again in September, 2001 to record a split 7" (still waiting to be released for Warlord Rec.) with Cadaveric Crematorium (Brescia, Italy). Their side includes a new track plus a cover to paying homage to the death metal-gods Deicide: 5.19 minutes of blasting sonic fury! As a [dramatic] oddness, the recording session ended on Sept 11th, just before the terrorist outrage.

On June, 1st 2002, H.O.P. travel to Sweden to play at the first edition of Gothenburg Deathfest. The bill includes Iniquity, DeepRed, Impure, Insision, Convent, Visceral Bleeding, Immersed in Blood, Spawn of Possession. In October 2002, the band is officially under contract with the Spanish label XTREEM MUSIC (ex-REPULSE Rec.), and will release the first full-length album "Disturbance " in February 2003. What next?! Well, "Disturbance " had a large number of very positive reviews worldwide and became album of the month for the Swedish Nekrologium Webzine and for the Peruvian Metallerium Webzine. The German Possessed’zine claims that the album is the best thing done in Italy since Bud Spencer & Terence Hill’s spaghetti western movies... is there any better compliment in the world?! I don’ t wanna know. Solved some line up problems, the band starts a very intense live activity in the beginning of 2004, and for the second time H.O.P. play outside of Italy: this time the band joins Houwitser, Harmony Dies, Sinners’Bleed, Spawn and Symbiontic for a brutal gig in Wermelskirchen (Germany) on April 24th. A few weeks later H.O.P. supports Disgorge (mex) and Sanatorium at the Brunch Live (Porto d’Ascoli, ITA), Prophecy and Godless Truth in may , and once again outside italy, in august the band take part as Headliner at Mountains of Death Festival 2004 (Switzerland) with band such as Spawn of Possession and Despondency. In October the band plays at the third edition of Made In Sickness Fest togheter with malta’s death metal combo Beheaded and technical death metal Prejudice. Beginning of 2005: after two months of hard work in the new 16th Cellar Studio, Hour of Penance unleash their second attack of uncompromising Brutal Death metal untitled “ Pageantry for Martyrs ”. The new album (that will be out once again for Xtreemmusic Rec. In may 2005) shows, in 10 tracks of blastbeat Fury and a unrelentless guitar riffing, the high level of songwriting and musicians capability reached by the band. The last album of the band , entitled “Pageantry for Martyrs” won several awards as “Best album of 2005” , even if Hour of Penance it’s still considered as an underground death metal band. Thanks to the new album Hour of Penance was definitely consecrated as one of the most stunning act of the European Brutal death metal scene and as the most impressive band from Italy. In This two years the band played loads of gigs outside italy and in some important European festival as the NRW death metal fest in Germany or Kempen death fest in Belgium , following for two dates the tour named Gutting Europe , or headlining the Knuppelnatch fest in Switzerland. Missed the chance to tour with the almighty Nile in September the band finally managed to tour with Krisiun in March 2006 playing shows in Spain , France , Switzerland and Italy. It was one of the greatest experience ever for the band . After the tour with Krisiun , the band start the works for his next album . In the meanwhile the band took part in one of the most important underground Italian festival , "Grind Your Mother 3"with band as Napalm Death , Sinister , Regurgitate , Leng T’che and many more. In September Enrico , one of the founder member of the band , quits Hour of Penance and in November the band parted ways with Alex Necrotorture . In December a new singer ,Francesco Paoli , joins forces in Hour of Penance and in the same month the band entered 16th Cellar Studios in Rome once again with producer Stefano "Saul" Morabito to record 3 new tracks as preview of his still untitled next album . Promo 2007 received a great feedback , as well as the past works of the band , introducing to the audience a different band. Thanks to the promo , Hour of Penance received several proposals from some labels and a short period after the release of it , the band signed a 2 album contract with the legendary Unique Leader rec. While playing in several gigs and festival in Europe ( as the amazing Death Feast open air , Neurotic DF and others ) the band was still working at its third album entitled "The Vile Conception" which represents the meticulous work of over a year of songwriting, The band finally entered again the 16th studios in July 2007 to lay down the 10 tracks of its new recording. Hour of Penance third album entitled "The Vile Conception" , follower of the 2005 success "Pageantry for Martyrs" , will be released next February 23rd via UniqueLeader Records. Showing one of the finest European death metal , "The Vile Conception" marks definitely a step forward in every front for Hour of Penance and represents the result of a meticulous songwriting and research of musical-perfection, an improvement of the trademark which always characterized Hour of Penance style. Fast drumming and technical guitar riffing assault with evil-melodical parts and a fast verbal aggression for over 40 minutes is what you will hear in "The Vile Conception"..a death metal manifesto against those who rule the earth through the power of lies and lead humanity to an inevitable end.

NEFASwas born in 1995 after the meeting of Tom Pagotto (drum) and Dario Pagotto (guitars and back-voc.) with Fabio Coviello (bass and vocals).The line-up never changed and never found more members. The band approached to the extreme scene through a fast swedish-style death metal (as bands such as old Grave, Dismember, Crematory, Putrefaction, Hetshead, Liers in Wait...) and after two years NEFAS produced the debut demo tape "He was born"(1997) with the cover artwork drawn by Paolo Parente and an 'incantationesque' music touch. The demo immediately started collecting good reviews (from Headfucker, Corpse Gristle, Brutalized...) and was distributed worldwide through Morbid, FullMoon, Brutalized, Wild Rags, Fadeless etc. The tecnical and extremistic growth of the band brought NEFAS to a twist, intricated and more cruel attitude and brutal playing-style, and to the debut MCD "Transfiguration to the Ancients form" (1999), produced with the collaboration of Michele Toscan of Nuclear Abominations rec. (once again with the cover arwork by Paolo Parente). An hyperfast obscure and asphyxianting brutalic sound joined with lirics imagined as hymns concerning the cult of Ancient abysmal Babylonian and Sumerian deities of the underworld, that's the new way the band chose for his music! Morbus, Dysmorfic..) with the mexicans DISGORGE, with the dutch CENTURIAN in Belgium and, in 2001, a small summer european tour (playing also at Brutal Assault Festival ..6 in Czec Republik) with the friends Bastard Saints for the promotion of their new split MCD , "Ropes above an Abyss of Fury" released for the italian new born label 'the FLOOD Rec.' also organizing some german gigs with PURGATORY. At the beginning of the year 2002 NEFAS found a wonderful deal with the french BONES BRIGADE, well known European label devoted to the extremest way of grind and brutal death! The band recorded the first full CD "SEVEN TIMES SEVEN" during the spring-summer 2002 in the Avatara Studios, with Tom (drummer of the band) as sound engeneer.The CD, with the cover paint and artwork design by Tomasz "GRAAL"Danilovicz, is the new concept concerning the sumerian-babylonian apocalyptic myth, connected with the prophecy of a God-demonologic new era.In october 2002 NEFAS toured Poland for the "Grind Manifesto 2002", together with ANTIGAMA, PIGNATION and BASTARD SAINTS.Finally in April 2003 the SEVEN TIMES SEVEN came out, and the worldwide opinion was really amazing; The distribution of BONES BRIGADE brought the CD all around the world, from Canada to Japan, from USA to Scottland, from Brasil to Australia;The 2003 saw NEFAS engaged in live promotion, playing across Iatlya together with Corpse Fucking Art, Bastard Saints, Cadaveric Crematorium, etc. For the end of 2003 NEFAS toured Italy together with the mighty DESTROYER 666, HANDFUL OF HATE and VII ARCANO.

ILLOGICISTIllogicist is a violent sonic combination of technical ability, rhythmic asymetry, melodic sickness and lyrical frustration created to reflect a dynamic and emotional vision of suffering and introspection, a mix of sonic violence and technical intent After the release of tho EP, "POLYMORPHISM OF DEATH" 2001, and "DISSONANT PERSPECTIVES" 2002, and after a strong promotion in the italian uderground scene, mainly accomplished with live performances, Illogicist signed a deal for his debut full-lenght album with the american label Crash Music Inc, ex Pavement Music, and the band realised a new recording session in november 2003 at Luca Minieris own Dissonant Studio. After recording session the band flew to Helsinki in December 2003 to mix and master at legendary Finnvox Studios, with Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila,the album titled "SUBJECTED", released by Crash Music Inc. in July 2004. The band played extensively around Italy and Europe in gigs and festivals with bands like Dismember and the like, and after a promo cd spread in 2006, Illogicist signs a new deal with the extreme USA based label WILLOWTIP RECORDS and an european license with CANDLELIGHT UK. SEPTYCAL GORGEproject starts on summer 2004 from Diego (gtr), Mariano (vox) and Dave (drm). After lots of lineup changes, some local gigs, and the recording on August 2005 of the first selfproduced mCD called Delivering Hidden Mutilation at Alpha Omega Studios (Como – IT), the lineup gained satbilty with the arrival of Maurizio (bas) and Dario (gtr). On 2006 the band supported some great live acts such as Napalm Death, Dismember, Avusled, Regurgitate, Defeated Sanity, and inked a deal with the label Mutilated Records. On july 2006 first full lenght album was released: Growing Seeds of Decay sums up all the previous work of the band, strongly inspired by the californian brutal sound.In about 7 months the album received extremely good responses by all the brutal death metal scene and on february it’s already out of stock, so the US label Sevared Records offers to repress the CDs for spring 2007. The band was dedicated for several months to an intense live acitvity, promoting the CD along Europe, playing in Germany, Holland, UK, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and being part of great death metal events such, Obscene Extreme 2006, Ludwigshafen Deathfest 2006, Neurotic Deathfest 2007.On november 2006 Dario has to leave the band for some personal reason, and he’s replaced by the new guitarist Marco, who bring new ideas and and life to the the band. The sound, still based on US master of brutality (mainly Deeds Of Flesh, DisgorgeUS) is constatly evolving and the band is actually hardworking and writing new songs for a new full lenght album.

PUTRIDITYborn in 2005 from the ashes of Obscene Perversion as a one man band, by Ciccio (guitar..vox), influenced by bands like Enmity and Disgorge with the intent to create pure brutal death metal sound with attitude and no compromises nor limits of extremity. In late 2005 ciccio made “Innate Butchery Aptitude”, a 4 songs demo home recorded and self produced. This demo arrived to Cipolla that contacted Ciccio and they decided to made Putridity an Despise The Sun recording artist. After some local shows in the north-west italy, Davide (drums..backvox) joined the band. In summer 2006 they re-record 3 tracks taken from the demo to made up “Promo 2006”. Line up was updated with the arrival of Alex (bass); the sick trio works very hard for their debut shows in Germany and Switzerland in november 2006. BLASPHEMERwas formed in 1998 by Simone Brigo (guitar) and Paolo Maniezzo (vocals).After some line-up changes they record the first promo: 'Life Kills'(2002).Thanks to this promo, BLASPHEMER increases gigs frequency.The style of the band was evolving in a more brutal-oriented sounds; the music began changing and getting more complex, and they came to the unanimous decision of searching for a second guitarist, in order to have more expressive. Thus Marco Hasmann joined the group, contributing towards the ongoing change with new ideas.In the middle of 2003, because of musical divergences, the drummer goes out from the band and, after many auditions for a new drummer, Alex Pintaudi (ex Neophyte, Stygian) was enlisted.The new line-up was now complete, and the members were collaborating actively more than ever! BLASPHEMER found at last the sound they had been looking for, and began performing with foreign bands (Labrat, Prejudice). Moreover came the awaited 3Way split-cd with Scrambled Defuncts (ru) and Humanity Fucked to Gore (ru), released by the Russian label Relics Rec. and featuring the reissue of the promo Life Kills.In 2004, the group performed abroad for the first time, on the occasion of the Front-Fest II in Belgium, along with several foreign bands (Prostitutes Disfigurament, Katafalk, Bile, Polluted Inheritance and many more).The same year the bassist left the band, and was replaced by another guy. After a brief testing the band resumed performing several live shows, some of them together with Disgorge (mex), Sanatorium (sk), C orporal Raid, Deflorace (sk) and Prophecy (u.s.).In 2005 BLASPHEMER finally got a contract with Italian Frost Foundation rec. who propose a split-cd with the brutal-grind friends of Modus Delicti.They continue to play live with band like Prohibitory (mex), Mortuary Drape, Vomit the Soul.Another line-up change: in winter the bass player left the band soon after the recording of the new split-cd!The split-cd was released at the beginning of 2006 as a 3Way Split-cdr with Modus Delicti (ex Nobody) and Eskaton (pol).Live shows never stops!!! BLASPHEMER played also at TATTOOing METAL fest II with Squash Bowels (pol), Neurophatia (pol) and many other gigs with Horrid, Mind Snare, Septical Gorge and others.Finally in May Clod 'the Ripper' DeRosa (Modus Delicti/ex-Nobody, Alice in Darkland, Gory Blister, Neophyte etc) joined the family!They soon received many proposal and finally inked a two album deal with American based label Comatose music.After only 2 shows in Italy, BLASPHEMER got the opportunity to play at NRW death fest in Germany togheter with Gorgasm (u.s.), Gut (d), Insidious Decrepancy (u.s.) and many more and at Fuck the Commerce X in Germany with Devourment (u.s.), Monstrosity (u.s.), Vital Remains (u.s.), Sinister (hol) and many more!In May 2007, during the recording session of the album, Alex Pintaudi leave the band for personal problems. Soon BLASPHEMER contacs Romain Goulon from Disavowed / Arsebreed, but after 4 month and some songs recorded he also leave the band for lack of time!Finally they find a permanent drummer with Alexhammer Solaro and in January 2008 BLASPHEMER enters the 16th Cellar Studio to record one promotional song ' Cloaca of Iniquity '

FLESHGOD APOCALYPSEFleshgod Apocalypse was born in April 2007 from the ashes of Death Metal band called Tyrannic Ethical Reconstruction. This new band was originally conceived as a side project featuring Francesco Paoli (Vocals, Guitar), also in the Death Metal band Hour Of Penance and ex-member of T.E.R., Francesco Struglia (Drums), also in Promaetheus Unbound and ex-member of T.E.R., Paolo Rossi (bass) ex-member T.E.R. Ever since the beginning Fleshgod Apocalypse' musical orientation showed the need for a second guitar player.The intention of combining two genres like Death Metal and Classical music, the wired riffing as much as the need of two heavy rhythmic guitars in the slow tempos made it a neccesity to find a new member to extend the line-up.Within a few days Cristiano Trionfera, also in Promaetheus Unbound, joined the band as lead guitarist.After a month of practicing the band recorded its first promo in July simply called Promo ’07, only meant to interest record labels. This one contains two tracks of technical Death Metal mostly influenced by Classical music. Inspired by bands like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Gorgasm, Deeds Of Flesh, Nile, Morbid Angel but certainly also by the likes of J.S. Bach, L. Van Beethoven, F. Listz, F.Chopin and R. Wagner. The band sounds sick, fast, brutal yet with a classical approach.Words go beyond blasphemy or gore. The lyrics are a in general an anti-religious declaration and speak about the abuse of power and all the psychic and physical acts of tyranny performed in name of religion.A menace of true redemption to all those who commit acts of paedophilia or hold the life of people with deception or hind and sometimes impede the medical research and scientific progress.The recording also contains a piano intro written and performed by Francesco Ferrini. Promo’07 has been recorded, mixed and mastered at 16th Cellar Studio with the producer Stefano "Saul" Morabito. Fleshgod Apocalypse is now working to the first full length album that will be released through Neurotic Records in 2008.This album will be a logical continuation and extension of the songs revealed so far.

ONIRIKWas in the last 1997, the first idea about Onirik. Founded by Dydacus (vox) and Miky (bass) to mingle some kind of extreme metal music. One year later, we’re released the"demotape 1998" (No more available). Shaking like our demo, we had started to play many local live shows in Milano area. No solved problems, bring us to split up. In the 1999 and 2000 we were on vacation, our sabbath period. With no will to continue. After a long quest, in the 2001, Onirik returns with sharp intentions and brand new line up (2 guitarist). The musical proposal was a classical death metal (mainly U.S gods Florida. You know what whose we mean!!). The neverending "internal wars" between the members is the reason about the second split. But Dydacus and Miky are very catchy guys, never discouraged, no way. So they began to search for an able guitarist and blasting drummer. So is in the winter 2004-05 the triumphal entry of Vincent (from Underworld Giubileo) as guitarist and Vanny (drummer of Wargore). WARMBLOODThe Warmblood set up in 2002; they take their origin from the break-up of the Lato Oscuro, a band that was founded by Giancarlo Capra (Guitar and voice) and Elena Carnevali (drums) in 1997 and was given up to a melodic death metal, of clear Swedish influence. After the carryng out of a couple of demos, positively received from the sectorial reviews and from the pubblic, and after many live performences, the Lato Oscuro joined a new bass-player Ivan Marconi and decided to change their name in WARMBLOOD.During about one year they composed quite a lot of new songs, with the intention of blending the old thrash years ‘80 in the melodic death, with a sprinkling of classic american death.In November 2003, the band remained in the Elfo-Studio (Piacenza-ITALY) for four days to set up a promo of three new songs, "Witness of terror", "A dismal illusion" and "Black earth" in order to promote the new musical course. The auto produced promo was simple called “Promo 2003”.The 2nd of May 2004 Warmblood played at the first edition of “Tattooing Metal Fest” at the Transilvania live of Milan, sharing the stage with band as Cropment, Nobody and many more.The 19th of May 2006 Warmblood toke part at the “A chapter of Violence fest”, a festival of death and brutal with Gory Blister, Stillbirth, Blasphemer and more.Performances live are alternated with period of drafting of the new stuff.New songs abandon almost totally the swedesh melodies while rise the influence of american Death Metal.In september 2006 a second guitarist joined the line up. With the new member Davide Mazzoletti the band find a new way of composing, more guitar oriented, intricated riff, arpeggios and solos.One month after Ivan Marconi left the band that decides to continue without bass player.Between May and August 2007 Warmblood turn back to the Elfo Studio to recorder, mixed and mastered the first full lenght album, composed by 8 inedited new songs, with the intention to find a label for printing and distribution.New stuff mixes death and brutal growl vocal, death and mid-tempo, thrash riffing and melodic guitar solos.Warmblood choose Lvceria records to print, promotion and distribution of new album. Unfortunately Lvceria Records shut down before the release of CD album.Then a new research Warmblood are proud to release the debut album under VALLEY OF DEATH RECORDS.

MODUS DELICTYMODUS DELICTI was born in June 2005 from the mortal spoils of NOBODY, but the story of the combo began some months before...In October ’04, alone but determined to carry on the NOBODY project after the arrest of the guitarists and the banishing of the drummer, Clod 'the ripper' DeRosa, together with new guitarist and drummer, quickly starts to compose new materials.In January 2005 after just 2 months NOBODY played the first of many shows at 'FRONTFEST III' in Belgium ( with Polluted Inheritance, Pandemia, Guerrilla, etc. ), the 'REBORN FROM HATRED miniTOUR 2005' to promote the new line up in Italy, and many other gigs with Blasphemer and other bands.The last show of Nobody (before entering the studio) was planned to be the 'CRUSHING COLOGNE FEST IV' in Germany, but because of some troubles they didn’t play.The band decided to change its name after many problems caused by the arrest of the two guitarists accused to be part of a Satanic sect called Bestie di Satana. They’re accused of the murder of some young guys from ’98 to ’04 with six otherones.They changed the name from NOBODY to MODUS DELICTI above all to close definitely with the tragic past and to remove any prejudice from the new members. With the new monicker MODUS DELICTI changed also the concept; they speak about serial-killers and psychological disorder. The band played its official last killer show in June!The 24th of March ’06 Frost Foundation rec. released a 3Way split cd between MODUS DELICTI / BLASPHEMER & ESKATON !!!After some more gigs, Clod the Ripper decided to stop the story of the band because of new line-up problems!!!In May Clod joned the family of BLASPHEMER!!!
